FRESCO+ operational in NRT data stream.

The first results of the new Long Range Transport product are made available online. OMI observations are used to monitor the outflow of tropospheric NO2 from the continents over the North Atlantic region. Soon this service will be complemented with daily trayectory model simulations. Also a regional chemical transportmodel over Europe will be used to investigate the influence of long range transport of air pollutants on local air quality.

• Near-real time global ozone fields, with a forecast for a few days ahead

SO2 total columns retrieved from GOME data are now available for:

• selected air pollution regions
• selected volcano eruption regions

Since 22 June there are severe problems with the ERS-2 satellite and because of that not all data of the GOME measurements is received; for details see News on ERS at ESA.
Because of these problems, the processing of GOME data for near-real time deliveries has been stopped. When data can be expected to come again is unknown. We are currently working on setting up the services based on SCIAMACHY data.
